What's happiness means to YOU?

Sunday, February 03, 2013

Time flies. We’re now in February. Seriously??? I know my January was so busy with bla bla bla….

I thank God for many reasons He let me to live my life until now. I should be grateful. Give more, expect less. There are many people out there who are less unfortunate than me or you or us…

What happiness means to you? From web definitions: it is a state of well-being characterized by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. We can’t measure the level of happiness. Everyone has his or her own opinion on the subject.

In my point of view, happiness is something I like to do or something that at the end of the day, I feel satisfied doing it. LOL.

Happiness is to travel around the world and meet new people along the way.
Happiness is to try new food, culture and books (food? It doesn’t matter if you’re skinny or fat, you only live once! Better eat awesome food!)
Happiness is to make your parent smile or be proud of you (even if you’re having a bad day)
Happiness is if I look at my cat, she gives me that “Puss in the boots” eyes whenever she wants me to play with her or when she’s hungry.
Happiness is when I give way to people on the road.
Happiness is when I can donate or give something to the charity.
Happiness is when I can run 10km and above.
Happiness is when I can reach home at 10pm every night after work/study.
Happiness is when you can shed a few kilos on your weight!
Happiness is everything.

You see.. there are many things when you can define what’s happiness.

I have friends who are having peer pressure from their circle of friends, since most of their friends are married or some of them are getting married soon. For some, happiness is when you’re marry to the person you love the most and grow old together. I know why this has become a hot question among our friends as we’re in that “marriable” age group especially woman… I can’t blame you. If there’s one reason to blame, it’s the society. LOL.

I know we’re in a society where we value our family the most. Our parent generation and our generation has different mind-set and that gap different what makes our generation difficult to fit into our parent mind-set as today’s world is A LOT of different compare to 20 years ago. Trust me. I don’t blame if the parent push their son/daughter to get marry only if he/she are ready to go to the next level but they also have to understand that we’re now living in a world where many people are career-minded, love to travel and etc.

Happiness is abstract.
